Celebrating a Year of Cinema at Weymouth Pavilion

Celebrating 1 Year of Cinema here at Weymouth Pavilion

As we look back on a fantastic first year of cinema here at Weymouth Pavilion, we’re incredibly grateful for the amazing support and attendance we’ve seen throughout the year. From showcasing the best new releases, bold independent features to iconic family classics and live theatre! It’s been a joy to share them all with you

Our Cinema turns one!

Over the past twelve months, our cinema has welcomed thousands of film lovers through the doors, bringing together families, friends and visitors to enjoy the magic of the big screen here in Weymouth. From laugh-out-loud comedies like Fackham Hall, edge of your seat thrillers like One Battle After Another and nostalgic favourites like ET: Extra-Terrestrial, we’ve hoped to offer something for everyone.

We’ve been especially proud to see so many returning faces week after week, as well as welcoming new visitors discovering the cinema for the first time. We hope to offer not just great films, but a warm and friendly atmosphere. Keeping tickets at just £5 for all cinema screenings and £15 for all Event Cinema showings (eg. National Theatre Live Productions) reflect our belief that the Cinema should be affordable and accessible for everyone.

With another great year of cinema ahead, we’re looking forward to bringing you even more exciting releases, themed screenings as well as a whole host of family favourites. Whether you’re a regular film fan or planning your first visit, we can’t wait to welcome you back to Weymouth Pavilion for another year of unforgettable movies on the big screen.

Super Screen Saver!

Introducing Weymouth Pavilion’s Super Screen Saver!

If you’re looking for something to do with the little ones over the October half term, look no further! We’re screening all four Hotel Transylvania films, and you can save money with our ‘Super Screen Saver’ discount when you book two or more!

Hotel Transylvania

Hotel Transylvania – 26 Oct

An animated comedy set in a lavish monster resort hidden from the human world. Dracula has built it as a safe haven for his daughter and their monstrous friends – but when a carefree human stumbles in and befriends her, chaos follows. The much-loved first film in the franchise, it’s a vibrant comedy that proves even monsters have a soft side.
Age rating: U / Duration: 91m

Hotel Transylvania

Hotel Transylvania 2 – 28 Oct

Hotel Transylvania 2 – The monster crew is back in this hilarious, heartwarming sequel! Dracula is now a doting grandfather to Dennis, the half-human, half-vampire son of Mavis and Johnny. But when little Dennis shows no signs of his vampire side, Drac secretly rounds up Frankenstein, Wayne, Murray, and Griffin for a crash course in “monster training.”
As Mavis wonders if life might be safer in the human world, an old threat looms – and the family must unite to protect what matters most.
Age rating: U / Duration: 89m

Hotel Transylvania

Hotel Transylvania 3 – 30 Oct

Summer Vacation – Drac and the gang are back – but this time they’re trading the hotel for the high seas! To give her dad a break, Mavis surprises Dracula with a monster family cruise. Joined by Frankenstein, Murray, Wayne and the rest of the crew, Drac braces himself for some much-needed relaxation.
But when he unexpectedly “zings” with the ship’s captain, Ericka, things get complicated – especially since she’s secretly the great-granddaughter of monster-hunter Van Helsing. Between budding romance, Mavis’s suspicions, and plenty of dance parties, giant sea creatures and wacky antics, Hotel Transylvania 3 delivers laugh-out-loud fun and a sweet reminder that love can be found in the most surprising places.
Age rating: U / Duration: 93m

Hotel Transylvania 4: Transformania – 31 Oct

The monster mayhem reaches its grand finale! When Van Helsing’s latest invention – the “Monsterfication Ray” – backfires, Drac and his monster pals suddenly find themselves human, while Johnny turns into a towering, over-the-top creature.
With his powers gone and everyday life proving trickier than expected, Drac must team up with monster-Johnny for a globe-trotting quest to reverse the spell before it’s too late. Packed with wild adventures, laugh-out-loud mishaps, and a heartfelt message about family and acceptance, Hotel Transylvania: Transformania brings the beloved series to a fun and fitting close.
Age rating: PG / Duration: 84m

New Release News!

New Release Films at Weymouth Pavilion – You Asked and We Listened

We know you’d love to see new releases sooner – and we’ve been working behind the scenes to make that happen. Because we’re not a full-time cinema, it’s not always possible, but when we can, we will.

To bring you films closer to their release dates, we’ve had to adjust our pricing:

£8 per ticket during the first two weeks of a film’s release

£5 per ticket after that

We’re also excited to announce that our dedicated ‘Films’ page is now live, here you can find all the latest film listings without having to search through our hundreds of shows.

Thanks for your support – and see you at the cinema!

As the town’s primary entertainment venue, Weymouth Pavilion is stepping up to fill that gap. We’re dedicated to bringing back the cinema experience that the community are already missing. Our aim is to offer something for everyone, from classic films to the latest releases, along with live streams of classical performances including ballet and opera.”
