Urgent warning about scammers

Be careful of scammers using Weymouth Pavilion’s details

We had hoped to remain silent over this weekend out of respect for the Royal Family, however it’s really important to let our customers know that someone on Facebook is posing as Weymouth Pavilion to get bank details.

This fake account is privately messaging people that have entered competitions and they are requesting bank details. Please do not click on any links or send any bank details. You must block and report this account immediately.

The fake account has our name and our image, it can be very easy to mistake it for us so please be careful.

Weymouth Pavilion will never ask for bank details on Facebook.

Although no scams have recently been reported for the resale of tickets, we advise you only ever buy tickets from a trusted seller such as dev.weymouthpavilion.suredigital.uk/, TicketMaster or See Tickets.

If you are ever unsure please phone the Box Office on 01305 783 225 and do not act until you hear from us.

Our official Facebook page is facebook.com/weymouthpavilion

Circumnavigate

Circumnavigate

Father of three Brendon Prince, from South Devon, attempts to become the first person ever to stand-up paddleboard around mainland Britain – a challenge that many have tried, but none have achieved. Circumnavigate joins Brendan on his gruelling journey around Britain’s spectacular and often treacherous coastline, in an attempt to break five world records and raise awareness for water safety education.

mar

Mar

Portugal’s exposed northwest coast produces powerful and challenging waves, which makes for a life and death moment for big wave surfer Alex Botelho during a surf competition. Mar is a tale of discovery, triumph and (almost) tragedy, but above all it’s a life-affirming celebration of surfing its original form – with exciting camera angles and stunning big-wave riding. You’ll be on the edge of your seat!

Tiger (Shark) King

More than 20 years ago, conservationist and diver Jim Abernethy discovered the ‘affectionate’ side of large predatory sharks after removing a fishing hook from the jaws of a tiger shark. Since then, he has removed thousands of hooks from sharks in the warm, clear waters off the Bahamas and has brought divers to safely encounter these apex predators with the goal of de-stigmatising sharks as mindless killers.

Eyre & Sea

At the remote Eyre Peninsula in South Australia, vast desert spills into roaring ocean and weather is king. It’s a pristine environment supporting a unique array of wildlife, including the endangered Australian sea lion. Here, in a town with a population of three, lives Alan. In a life shaped around the natural world, an unlikely relationship with a colony of seals has fundamentally changed him.

Rebirth

Rebirth

In Rebirth we meet Benoit, a surfer from the Basque country, fighting for his love of riding waves after a freak accident. Through perseverance and an upbeat spirit, the challenge to adapt develops Benoit both physically and mentally. His journey pushes him to relearn and find freedom from surfing once again, while inspiring new possibilities for the adaptive surf community.

If You Give A Beach Bottle

If You Give A Beach Bottle

Max Romey is a filmmaker and painter who uses a unique blend of watercolours and videography to tell stories. Inspired by a picture book, Max heads to a remote beach in Alaska in search of marine debris – and comes back with an entirely different story to the one he was expecting.

I Am Ocean

I am Ocean showcases the inspirational story of Australian diver, oceanographer and underwater photographer PT Hirschfield, who’s successful 11-year battle with cancer has been fuelled by her passion for scuba diving, a deep connection with the underwater world, and a mission to save the wildlife at her local dive sites.

How we are keeping you safe during the Covid-19 Pandemic

Updated 10.01.2022

Following the most recent guidance from the Government we’d like to reassure you that we are still doing everything we can as a venue to keep you safe during your visit to Weymouth Pavilion.

Visitors must wear a face covering when walking around the venue, this includes going to and from seats, going to the toilets and at the bar. You do not need to wear a mask if you are medically exempt, eating or drinking.

As events in the theatre are seated you do not need a Covid Pass. If you are attending an Ocean Room event where the capacity is over 500, you must provide proof of double vaccination or a single dose of Janssen. You will be asked to show your Covid Pass before entering the room. If you are not vaccinated you must show proof of a negative PCR test, accepted forms of proof are a valid NHS text or email confirmation.

If government guidance changes you will be notified in due course.

We encourage anyone who is experiencing symptoms to stay at home and make bookings and enquires over the phone instead. Our Box Office lines are open from 9:30am – 6pm every day (later if there is a show).

Please also remember to be kind and respectful towards our staff, volunteers, and fellow members of the audience. The government rules are beyond our control, and we’re all trying our hardest to rebuild the future – to ensure the continued success of a friendly local theatre for all generations to appreciate.

Our guests safety and comfort is paramount to us; the team have been working tirelessly to put in place some new safety precautions which will be strictly enforced.

Here is what we are doing to keep you safe:

New air filtration systems have been installed in the auditorium and in the Ocean Room.

Anti-viral fogging equipment is in place and used before and after every performance.

Our cleaners have a strict cleaning regime and will be thoroughly sanitising everything before and after every performance.

Guests must wear face coverings inside the venue unless eating or drinking

Room capacities have been decreased to provide extra space and seats

Temperatures are being checked upon arrival before entering the auditorium.

The audience must wear a face mask at all times unless medically exempt or under the age of 11.

There is a one-way system in and out of the theatre.

Hand sanitiser is available for guests around the venue.

We have installed a new set of women’s toilets upstairs to minimise queues, and the ushers will be monitoring how many people are using the toilets at any given time.

What does the Fogging Machine do?

Our new fogging machine is designed to clean and sanitise large areas quickly and effectively and can kill off viruses and other biological agents in the air and on surfaces.

The task involves spraying a fine mist from a spray gun which is then left to evaporate, this is done before and after every performance.

About our Air-Filtration system

We have fitted four filters in the auditorium (two upstairs and two down) which are constantly running, even when the auditorium is occupied. The Air-filters are used to clean and sterilise the air by using UV-C germicidal technology ensuring the air you breathe is protected from bacteria and virus risk.

About our React-Air Ozonator

Our new ozone machine is used once the auditorium is cleared and the filters are turned off. The Ozonator is designed for commercial environments and uses a UVC technology which drives airflow through the decontamination chamber, neutralising bacteria, viruses, pollen and odours. The Ozone machine eradicates viruses and bacteria and sterilises everything it touches with UVC and Ozone technology; these machines have been used for many years to sterilise hospitals, operating theatres and surgical instruments.

We hope that our safety precautions have provided reassurance to our visitors that we are doing everything we can to continue putting on great shows in a safe way.
