Sunday Night Comedy – Ardal O Hanlon

Father Ted star Ardal O’Hanlon headlines this month's Sunday Night Comedy on the 25 March.

Joining Ardal are support acts Jayde Adams and Simon Fielder along with resident host Tom Glover.

Originally from Bristol, Jayde Adams is an award-winning comedian, as well as a cabaret performer, MC, all dancing, all opera singing, ex fish mongering West Country woman. She has performed all over the UK, including 10 years of Freestyle Disco Dancing competitions up and down the country, and has travelled internationally with her ‘barnstorming’ performances.

In 2014, she was named winner of the Funny Women Awards and she received the London Cabaret Audience Award in 2013. 

She has been nominated for prestigious Edinburgh Fringe awards, including Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Newcomer in 2016 and Chortle Best Newcomer in 2017.

In December 2015, Adams made her TV acting debut in Russell Howard’s ‘A Gert Lush Christmas.’ In October 2016, Sky Arts released Adams’ Halloween Comedy Short, ‘Bloody Tracy’, written by and starring Adams and featuring Spencer Jones and Gabby Best. She has also appeared on 8 Out of 10 Cats.

Your classic modern multi-hyphenate comedian, Simon has appeared on the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel5 and has lent his voice to a multitude of commercials, idents & (BAFTA-winning!) TV shows.

He was a semi-finalist in the BBC New Comedy Awards, a finalist in the Amused Moose Talent Quest, Laughing Horse New Act, Bath New Act, Leicester New Act Competition and Jongleurs Comedy Call-back. Always the bridesmaid.

In 2015 & 2016 Simon supported Ellie Taylor on her UK tours and produced the comedy Vlog web series ‘Die Trying’ before taking a show of the same name to the Edinburgh Fringe in 2016.
