Sunday Night Comedy with Tom Allen

Sunday 14th May 2017 - 7:30pm

All Tickets: £15.00

Due to unforeseen circumstances we regret to announce that James Acaster will no longer be headlining this month’s Sunday Night Comedy. However, we have a fantastic new headliner, the hilarious TOM ALLEN.

Star of Live At The Apollo, 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown and Channel 4’s Comedy Gala Tom Allen is one of the countries most in-demand comedians. His unique style of sharp, acerbic wit and camp, riotous storytelling has won over audiences all over the UK and around the world.

'Riotous stuff, perfectly delivered’ - Scotsman

'One of the funniest acts on the circuit… he has continued to storm every gig he does’ - GQ

All with regular host Tom Glover and support from:

Gareth Richards’ hilarious stand-up, silly jokes and gorgeously low-key comedy songs have made him an instant favourite on the comedy circuit. In 2010 he was nominated for Foster’s Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Newcomer

Gareth has appeared on Russell Howard’s Good News, Live at the Electric (BBC3) and in January performed live on Radio 1 on two separate occasions. Gareth co-hosted Frank Skinner’s Sony award-winning Absolute Radio show for two years and supported Frank on his 2014 tour.

After a career in health and social care, Angela Barnes decided to realise a long held ambition and give comedy a go. Within a couple of years she had won the 2011 BBC New Comedy Award and became a finalist at the 2011 Latitude Festival New Act of the Year competition.

Since 2011, Angela and her witty world view have been catapulted onto numerous radio and television shows including appearances on BBC Three’s Russell Howard’s Good News, Russell Kane’s Whistle Stop Tour (BBC Radio 2), and BBC Radio 4’s The Now Show.
