Support Acts for Sunday Night Comedy Announced

Tuesday 1st May 2018

Headlining Sunday Night Comedy on the 6th May will be Hal Cruttenden, with hilarious support acts Nigel NG, Clint Edwards and regular host Tom Glover.

Expect a set packed full of hilarious rants on the evils of the modern world: the 5:2 diet, oversharing on social media (and much more besides) from the acclaimed Radio 4 favourite... The more he complains the funnier he gets. Hal has hosted Live at The Apollo and appeared on The Royal Variety Performance, Mock The Week, Celebrity Mastermind and Would I Lie To You. He is, says The Scotsman, “an absolute joy to watch”

NIGEL NG
Nigel Ng grew up in Malaysia, lived in America for five years and moved to the UK in 2015. Having started his comedy career in Chicago, he’s relieved that (most) people in the UK get his jokes too, as evidenced by being the winner of the Amused Moose Comedy Laugh Off 2016 and the finalist of many other prestigious comedy competitions such as Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2016 and Leicester Square New Comedian of the Year 2015. His combination of laid back likability and sharp observations are sure to get him far.

CLINT EDWARDS
Clint is a stand-up comedian and writer, who regularly co-presents the Rhod Gilbert show on BBC Radio Wales. Writing credits include Never Mind The Buzzcocks and The Apprentice: You’re Fired for BBC Two, plus The News Quiz and The Now Show for BBC Radio 4. Clint is an accomplished MC – hosting comedy nights, festivals and corporate events. He is also a TV warm-up artiste, who has worked on Have I Got News For You, Dave Gorman’s Modern Life is Goodish and Deal or No Deal to name a few.
